I do believe that the coming 12 months will see some significant changes.  The art market has to change and will change to accommodate not only the financial challenges, but also the technological growth in communications as well as people’s perception of art.  (Even Damien Hirst is back to painting his own canvases according to the Guardian!)  However the thing that won’t change and shouldn’t change is the will to create and create with integrity.  

The replies from so many people were heartfelt and wonderfully positive.  The need to look deep within and find art that is true to yourself seemed to be the reoccurring theme.  

Experience from previous recessions shows that creativity does increase during trying times, providing great art for the boom times that follow.  

I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such a wonderful group of strong and positive creative spirits.  Thanks for all your input and your continued support.
